Peel in hydroalcoholic solution where the main active ingredient is salicylic acid (SA). SA is mainly known for its keratolytic and comedolytic properties. The use of high concentrations of SA causes a white epidermolysis on papules, pustules, and comedones few minutes after the application. The upper part of the pustule frequently breaks, allowing the acid to act from the epithelia of the follicle towards the sebaceous gl and.

It also has anti-inflammatory (inhibits the synthesis of prostagl andins), antipruritic, antiseptic, antimicrobial (reduces the population of Propionibacterium acnes), astringent, anti-aging (accelerates the elimination of corneocytes), photoprotective (derivatives that absorb UVB radiation), and anti-epidermoplastic properties.

Apply 1-2 coats of Salipeel using a gauze soaked in the solution. Apply quickly and evenly in 10-15 seconds. As the solution dries up, a slight white mask will begin to appear, which indicates the peel’s endpoint. You can fan it or ventilate to relieve the burning sensation and to speed up the solution’s drying process.

If you wish to wash the area, in order to remove the white mask for esthetic reasons, you can do so with gauzes soaked in water. If it is applied on an area that is barely visible (on the scalp, for instance), this step may be avoided.
